Get to Know Your Doctor

I know that when it comes to your health—or the health of your loved ones—choosing the right doctor is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. It takes trust, and trust isn’t built on degrees or titles alone. It comes from knowing the person behind the profession. That’s why I want to share my story with you. Because before I am a surgeon, I am someone who truly cares about my patients, their struggles, and their journey to healing. I want to know You, not just as my patient, but as a person. And you should know me the same. So here's my journey:

I completed my M.S Orthopaedic Surgery from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai.

St. Johns, Bangalore and SRIHER, Chennai are both regularly rated in the Top 15 Medical Institutes in the entire country, as per the Official NIRF Ranking of the Govt. of India.

While I started my Orthopaedic practice thereafter, I always believed that my patients deserve the best possible care, and that meant pushing myself to go above and beyond. That’s why I chose to pursue more fellowships —to refine my skills, gain deeper expertise, and bring advanced treatment options to those who trust me with their health.

I persued a fellowship in Advanced Trauma Surgery at HOSMAT Hospital, Bangalore.

I then decided to further specialise and did a fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at HOSMAT Hospital, Bangalore.

HOSMAT Hospitals was the first dedicated Orthopaedic Hospital in Bangalore and one of the oldest such orthopaedic speciality hospitals in the country.

I then did a fellowship in Arthroplasty (Joint Replacements) at Aster RV Hospital, Bangalore.

During my time there I trained with the latest cutting edge technology in Orthopaedic surgery including Robotic Joint Replacement surgery.

I wanted to establish my clinic as a place where people were truly cared for, not just treated. And so I started my clinic practice at 'Ortho Med Centre' in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The aim of my clinic team is to provide not only the highest quality orthopaedic care but also a space where every person is treated with the same attention and compassion we would give to our own loved ones.

OrthoMed Centre has grown over a decade since its existence and become the first choice orthopaedic clinic for thousands of patients. Today our team (Orthopaedics, General Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynaecology) sees more than 50 patients every day and yet treats every patient with utmost priority.

I have also been the Official Team Doctor for the National Cricket Academy of the BCCI and the on-site Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Under-19 Women's Indian Cricket Team.

Acknowledging my expertise in the field, I have been invited as Faculty to various State, National and International Medical Conferences to share my research works, techniques and protocols.

I have had the privildge of delivering Expert Talks at over 30 conferences across the entire country.

I always knew I wanted to be Doctor from a very young age. But becoming a doctor was not the end goal, I wanted to become a Doctor who people could Trust.

I started my training in Medicine by doing my MBBS from St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore.

During my time as the Team Doctor for the National Cricket Academy camp in 2022 I was involved in the recovery and rehabilitation process for players of the Indian Cricket team who were injured, and who we helped recover from the injuries.

My Research works and treatment techniques have been published in various prestigious international and national journals, with me currently having over 40 PubMed Indexed articles.

I am also an active member of more than six professional orthopaedics associations, and have served as an executive committee member for the Bangalore Orthopaedic Association.

I have also had the priviledge of being selected as a panel member alongside other leading orthopaedic surgeons in the country at various meetings to discuss the latest advancements and protocols.

I am a reviewer for various reputed International and National Orthopaedic Journals.

I was selected as Section Editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and Reconstruction, the Official Journal of the Karnataka Orthopaedic Association

I have served as Teaching Faculty for Undergraduate and Post Graduate Training, having been Visiting Faculty for Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and Assistant Professor at PES University Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Bangalore

I believe in practicing what I preach. Just as I encourage my patients to stay active for their health, I make sure to do the same. I am an avid sports fan. I love to play sports- I play and watch basketball, football, cricket, table tennis and pickleball. In my younger days, I have represented Karnataka State U-16 in Basketball.

Equipped with vast knowledge and practical experience of more than a decade, I am glad I have been able to provide top quality orthopaedic treatment to my patients, ranging from the latest treamtment protocols to the most complex surgeries, and deliver wonderful results.

Medicine is always evolving, and I believe that my patients deserve the very best—not just what is available, but what is possible. That’s why I have never stopped learning, staying up to date with the latest advancements from around the world, so I can provide world-class orthopaedic care—right here in Bangalore, better than what many can find even in developed countries.
